The Twaron aramid and nylon belts offer greater stability at extremely high speeds. Due to its variable tension, the belt can tighten the tread center more tightly than the shoulder. Therefore, the centrifugal force is better controlled and the force distribution is more uniform.
Two different compounds are redistributed between the outside and inside of the tread.
External: new elastomer, reinforced with carbon black directly from the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The result: perfect endurance in cornering.
Inside: the latest generation of elastomers, with high adhesion on wet surfaces, allows to break the water film along the roughest surface of the road.
Whether it's straight-line acceleration or high-speed cornering, grip is optimal. During cornering, the shape of the contact area will change, but the amount of rubber in contact with the ground will not decrease. The Michelin Pilot Super Sport has benefited from the latest digital simulation software used in aviation and automotive. Thanks to these advanced tools, force and temperature can be distributed more evenly over the contact surface.

Tires more sport-oriented than versatile, I use them every day, but they wear out quite quickly, so they are more suitable for weekend driving. But their behavior when they are hot is really outstanding, they don't move at all. Remarkable precision, but more intended for weekend use than for everyday use.
Excellent tires, effective until the end! 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sport mounted on my Cayman S, the car's behavior is perfect. Used on the road in (very!) sporty driving, as well as on the track during Track Day. I have driven 15,000 km with these tires and was completely satisfied with them. Today I have reached the wear indicator, the grip is still good. I just ordered the same ones for the rear axle. The front ones are still okay.
