Maxxis International is a tyre brand recognised for the quality and performance of its products. Founded in Taiwan more than 50 years ago, Maxxis began by manufacturing bicycle tyres before expanding its range to include car tyres. Today, Maxxis distributes its products in more than 180 countries and employs over 30,000 people worldwide.
Maxxis’s ability to serve its customers on a global scale is rooted in its manufacturing capacity, with facilities in Taiwan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, and India. In 1985, Maxxis opened its first distribution centre in North America and today has more than half a million square feet of warehouse space in the United States, located in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, and Indianapolis.
Maxxis’s distribution centres house some of the finest tyres on the market. Thanks to cutting-edge technology, Maxxis engineers work in R&D centres in Asia, Europe, and North America to ensure the company’s products remain at the forefront of technology. Maxxis also owns the largest tyre proving ground in China and seeks feedback and support from its impressive team of sponsored riders, who report on tyre performance under the toughest and most demanding conditions.
Since its beginnings, Maxxis has operated in an ethical and honest manner. Over the years, this commitment to ethics has extended to the sourcing, production, and distribution of its tyres in the most sustainable way possible, leaving a minimal footprint on the environment.
Currently, Maxxis has five advanced research facilities located in the Netherlands, Taiwan, China, and the United States. These already impressive operations are expanding, with the recent opening of research and development centres in Taiwan and Shanghai and a new centre planned to replace the existing facility in Xiamen.
