When fitting my tyres, one tyre was deformed but it regained its shape when inflated.

over the history of my car, I have fitted all the major brands from michelin to yokoama..danlop, etc. in 2017, I tried this brand. and I must say that I still prefer them today. Sporty driving, at the limit of the vehicle, accelerations, drifting, normal driving, and I must say EXCELLENT for grip and safety in trajectories. nothing to envy from more expensive brands. The most surprising factor, the grip on wet surfaces, excellent even at high speeds. To this day, it remains my absolute model.. The only thing, I notice a change in the compound, stiffer compared to tires from a few years ago, so far it's just a feeling..

I chose these tyres mainly for the price. I had a very short commute to work, about 12km a day round trip. We hardly get any snow in winter where I live, so I needed a set of winter tyres for my Alfa MiTo mainly to avoid the hassle of chains, especially since the standard 18" rims are not chainable, and to comply with road regulations. However, having another set of 17" rims, I opted for 17" winter tyres. The width is the same as the 18" but the diameter changes and consequently the sidewall height. It would be better to fit narrower tyres for winter, but having reduced the diameter by an inch, I settled for a higher sidewall. After fitting these tyres and driving a bit to remove the "new rubber" coating, I immediately noticed they were not bad at all. On dry roads and at low temperatures, they perform well, and I've never had problems in the wet. I like to drive quite sportily and they've never let me down on dry or wet roads. On snow, the performance is quite reliable; as I mentioned at the start of the review, it doesn't snow much anymore, but the few times I've driven on snow, I've never encountered any issues. They don't produce much more noise than summer tyres, but considering they are winter tyres, heavily treaded and with sipes, that's acceptable. In fact, for the price, they are more than adequate. I can recommend these tyres to those who are budget-conscious; mine were made in Taiwan but designed in Europe, specifically in Belgium. I used them for 3 winter seasons, after which I sold the car with both sets of tyres, summer and winter. I covered about 15,000km, as besides work, I occasionally used it for longer trips at the weekend. I was so satisfied that for the summer tyres, I relied on the same brand, with the same tread width but on 18" rims.
What can I say except I 100% recommend this tyre. Perfect for everyone.
I have been using Tristar tyres on several four-wheel drive vehicles for years and am very satisfied.
